Proposal

Demolition of the existing western foyer, and replacement with a larger glazed foyer area and other internal works; and single storey rear extension to no's 2 and 4 Sackville Street to link the church to these building, and the change of use of the premise from Sui Generis (Counselling services offices) to Class D1 use (non-residential institution - public worship or religious instruction), and changes to external parking and landscaping.

The Director of Economic Growth and Neighbourhood Services submitted a report on the above application.  An update report was tabled at the meeting which explained that Reading Civic Society supported the application and clarified that the Council’s Heritage Consultant had been consulted during the application process.

 

Comments were received and considered.

 

Resolved –

 

          That planning permission for application 190650/FUL be granted, subject to the conditions and informatives as recommended in the original report.
