Review of the Council's Employment Policies

Minutes:

The Committee considered a report presenting three Employment Policies which had been reviewed jointly and agreed with the Joint Trade Unions. The following documents were attached to the report:

Appendix A

Employment Stability Agreement

Appendix B

Flexible Workstyles Framework

Appendix C

Trade Union Facilities Agreement

The report included a table that set out in summary terms for each of the revised policies the issues which had been addressed together with any additional key changes that had been agreed with the Joint Trade Unions. Once the policy review had been completed hyperlinks would be added to the policies where they were cross-referenced with other Policies.

The report also included a table that set out the process that had been followed for agreeing the Policies with the Joint Trade Unions and explained that a communications plan was in place to communicate the revised Policies to managers and employees.

 

Resolved:    That the following revised HR policies, as set out in in Appendices A, B and C, attached to the report, be approved:

·       Employment Stability Agreement;

·       Flexible Workstyles Framework;

·       Trade Union Facilities Agreement.
